What is a bra?

BRA Bullet is the type of female underwear for the first time worn and popular in the 40th century and remained popular until the 1960s and 1970s. This clothing has its name from the conical cup shape made for this type or brassiere that resemble the tip of the bullets. These bras were particularly popular during the era of the mid -20th century, and many models were seen in these types of bras. While the bullet bra eventually lost popularity due to changing manufacturing techniques and fashion trends, there are still fans of historical underwear to appreciate these clothing. These bras were usually made of satin or nylon, and usually consisted of several round pieces of fabric, sometimes the "rays" T spread from the center of each cup out. The name "Bullet Bra", as well as "Torpedo Bra", are quite testified not only by the conical shape created by these garments, but also by post -war mentality and nomenclature of the 40s and 50s.

The models and actresses of that time very popularized a bullet bra and wearing these Brassieres under the relatively tight sweaters led to a fashion style known as "his own girl". The shape of the female bust when wearing this type of bra was often emphasized by carrying a sweater that created an attractive visual profile for the wearer. Actresses like Marilyn Monroe and Lana Turner caused these brassiery and "his sneer girl" to look pretty famous. Pin-up models of the 1940s and 1950s, such as Betty Paige, were also often posed for calendars and photos of underwear while wearing a bullet.
