What is a buried beetle?

Beetle funeral is the most famous beetle in the Carrion family. The word "carrion" refers to the carcasses of dead animals on which these beetles feed on. Beetles eat small vertebrates such as birds and lizards, but first we bury them completely under the soil to later be used for food. Male beetles help to take care of young women until young people are old enough to leave the nest.

Burning beetles are the largest beetle in North America. They have large antennas with sensors that help them find dead animals over long distances. The body is hard, shiny and black with bright orange marks on the back or top. Specifically, these orange markings appear in four belts on the wing case and on the beetle face.

As soon as the bodies are detected, the beetles must fight women fighting women and men fighting against men. Beetle, which wins, we bury the carcass deep into the soil, undresses the carcass of his furShines or feathers then create it in the ball. The woman produces a nest using fur or feathers in the chamber above the carrion to lay eggs. After the larvae hatch, parents feed them until they are old enough to eat from the carcase.

Burning beetle habitat is not known, but were seen in areas where carcasses are found. The common places where beetles live are parts of southern Canada and throughout the Eastern United States. They were also observed along the edges of forests, in grass prairies and peeling countries.

The burying beetle population drops and the buryed beetle disappeared completely. In fact, this species faces the threat of extinction and was included in the list of endangered species of American fish and wild animals in 1989. Possible reasons for this threat arise from human activity and development causing food sources. The remaining populationE are isolated in smaller areas, causing an increase in competition between surviving beetles for food.

There is an effort to rescue a buried beetle. The service of fish and wild animals is looking for a beetle population throughout the United States. Once the population is found, it is monitored and can ensure the survival of beetles. The University of Boston increases the population and releases these populations to nature to add numbers in the state of Massachusetts.
