What is a cap?

The CAP is a building material used in a built -up roof or Bur. They are soon used for flat roof surfaces and consist of several layers of material designed to create a waterproof surface. Each layer includes asphalt or tar layers of glass fiber mats. The more layers or layers used in a built -up roof, the more efficient the surface will be able to withstand leaks over time. To cover and protect these lower layers and the extension of the roof life, the surface component, such as the leaf of the closure, is used.

over time weakens a constant solar exposure of the asphalt and causes it to dry. When it dries in the sun, the roof becomes fragile and eventually bursts. The rain penetrates into these cracks and eventually penetrates inside the building, leading to leaks, mold and rot. The CAP leaf not only protects asphalt from the sun, but also acts as a special layer to further increase the integrity of the roof.

a sheet of closure can be followed to the roof surface with severalmethods depending on the basic materials. Some installations rely on heat welding to permanently connect the cap cap into the lower roof layers. Others apply cement lap or add bituminous material, such as asphalt between the layer and the roof surface. Depending on the level of climate and wind, some installation staff can add gravel or aggregate to the top of the sheet to help consider it and keep it safely.

Most of the leaves with caps resembled rolled asphalt roof. They consist of glass fiber mats covered with mineral granules for strength and durability. The roof cap is relatively heavy because of the mineral surface and is widely referred to as 90 pounds roofing in North America. The standard roof square of this material weighs £ 90 (40.9 kg), although some light materials are used in some regions.

Some caps sheets are used in applications for equipment to blind the energy efficiency of the building. These leaves have lightA mineral surface that creates a white or white roof. This bright color reflects sunlight to keep the buildings cool in a hot, sunny climate. By reflecting sunlight, they reduce the need for air conditioning to reduce energy costs and help protect the environment. In this type of application, the leaf can be used with a standard roof or with a number of other roof surfaces.
