CAPE chestnut growing is relatively easy, due to mild or warmclimate. It requires a full sun to flourish, and likes compost soil that retains moisture. The tree can tolerate some drought, but it is unlikely to bloom or grow in dry conditions. The tree will grow from seeds or cuttings from another Cape chestnut, although it can carefully have careful maturity. Blossoms appear between the fifth and ten years in a healthy tree.
