What is a cleaning plate?
Many people keep a set of silver cutters at hand to display or use on special occasions. Although silver is known for its aesthetic properties, it tends to scratch over time. Some methods of removal have tarnished are costly and demanding work, such as scrubbing with silver varnish, but these are phased because more convenient methods are discovered. One quick and easy way to clean the tumbled metals is a cleaning plate, a small metal alloy plate with holes in it, which removes scratches by the electrolysis process. The cleaning plates are usually made of aluminum alloy and are perforated with holes to increase their surface surface. They come in many sizes, but perhaps the most common size is six inches of eight inches (15 x 20 cm). For use, the cleaning plate is placed in any large containerudity to hold the silver item and add warm water. A bicarbonate sodium or edible soda is also added to the container. SilverThe ožka, if the aluminum cleaning plate touches, is cleaned after a short time in the solution.
Some people prefer to use soda washing rather than baking soda, because it is also cheap and works well for this application. Others prefer to use lemon juice and abrasive fungi to remove tarnished. The cleaning plate is made of aluminum and it is also possible to remove the silver destine with aluminum foil. The foil is used in the same way as the cleaning plate and salt and the baking soda are added to very hot water to form a cleaning solution. It should also be noted that this method can cause noticeable sulfur odor, so good ventilation can be useful.
The usual silver affecting is the black silver sulfide, which helps the pure plate to remove the quick and simple chemical reactions. The reaction takes place as follows: aluminum when in contact with a silver sulfi sulfideDEM, reacts with destination and water to form elementary silver, aluminous hydroxide and aqueous solution of hydrogen sulphide. Sodium or washing soda accelerates the reaction and when silver is clean, it must be simply rinsed and dried, along with the cleaning plate and the water solution is then discarded. Removing the silver plate in this way is fast and comfortable. However, it is important to avoid this in a porcelain sink, as it can easily spot from the dissolved postal backup.
