What is Cloudburst?

Cloudburst is a sudden precipitation that can be quite unexpected, very sudden and rather. In some cloudbursts, up to 5 inches (almost 13 centimeters) can fall per hour, often in the form of extremely large droplets. Cloudbursts are particularly common in the tropics, although they can occur anywhere and are often accompanied by thunder. They are also very unpredictable, by nature, which can be very frustrating for weather agencies.

The term "cloudburst" is the result of a fantastic idea that clouds are full of water. Historically, some people believed that clouds were basically like balloons, with solid membranes filled with liquid. In Cloudburst, these balloons would literally burst and pour torrents of rain out. Although this theory has been refuted since then, the term has stuck. The hard rain characteristic of the Mračnydburst is caused by a phenomenon known as Langmuir clotting, in which the rain drops connect to form large drops as they fall, and decreases faster when growing. Sometimes rain in cloudbursIt falls so fast and is so great that it is actually a bit painful.

Due to the amount of rain involved, Cloudburst can be quite dangerous, especially if it persists for several hours. The floods are common to cloudbursts and in areas with Arroyos, washing and other outlets, these geological features can quickly fill with water and sweep all the people and animals that could be inside. Floods can also make the streets unusable and, in extreme cases, can close the whole city because people seek to cope with the influx of water.

Often these heavy storms appear in the summer and are sometimes welcome in agricultural communities, as Cloudburst can irrigate very thoroughly. But most people try to avoid being caught in the weather because they would otherwise be soaked on the skin. Drownings was also associated with cloudbursts, even without extensive floods, as people can be stored outsideSerious weather disoriented.
