What is Corbel?
Corbel is an architectural member that is designed to support the weight of the horizontal protrusion. Corbel is sunk deep into the wall to provide stability so that when weight is loaded, it does not even fall. Corbels have been used in architecture around the world for thousands of years, with a number of interesting examples in cultures from India to Central America.
