What is Cornet?
Cornet, as well as a better known tube, is a member of the brass family of instruments. The brass family is often divided into corners, trumpets, trips and tubes. Cornet is a member of the Trumpet Group, which includes bass trumpets in EB and BB; trumpets in BB, C, D and EB; Piccolo tube in A BB; Cornets BB and EB; and BB Flugelhorn.
Although the music of the orchestra called Cornet has been written, Trumpet is now used more often in the orchestras, although experts feel that it is not an accurate replacement. Although both Trumpet and Cornet are valve tools with height valves and BB versions have the same range, their sound is different. While Trumpet is described as brilliant, the sound of Cornet is considered to be a corner similar and softer. However, both of them use a series of subtones in the production of playgrounds.
Cornet is still used in wind ensembles, theater orchestras and concert bands. It is also used in Dixieland Jazz, British Brass Bands, Salvation Army bands and military and marching bands. Louis Armstrong, famous as a trumpeter, played Cornet until 1925. Leon Bismark "Bix" Beiderbecke (1903–1931) and Jimmy McCpartland (1907–1991) were two more well -known cornetists.
