What is Couturier?

Couturier is a fashion designer who creates her own clients for her clients. Its creations are usually performed with rich, expensive fabrics and careful attention to technology and details. Some Couturiers design, cut and burden the garments themselves, while others focus only on design and rely on sewing professionals to physically create their concepts. Couturier can work independently or can be employed in a design house. Since each piece of couture is designed to suit each client, no two are similar. This concept is in contrast to the more common methods of carrying on wearing clothing and the bulk market. While wearing clothes are usually made by fashion houses using relatively complex techniques and high -quality fabrics, it is not tailored, and is usually less expensive than Couture. As its name suggests, the clothing with a mass market is produced in bulk, sometimes uses medium or low-liner and in most cases isthe least expensive category of clothing.

In exchange for uniqueness, fine materials and conscientious craftsmanship Couture clothing, the client usually pays Couturier premium rate. Many pieces of Couture include complicated design techniques, some that must be done manually. As a result, the client can face a significant waiting period before the completion of her garment.

Some Couturiers are devoted to every aspect of clothing, representing its design, choosing fabric and decoration and cutting, sewing and finishing a piece. In other cases, Couturier can simply design pieces of his clients and leave their execution to their assistants. For some couturiers, this may reflect the preference for design before design. Others may simply have the abundance of clients and therefore cannot personally devote themselves to any step of clothing.

is often couturier associated with a fashion house or Maison Couture. In many cases, larger fashion houses will perform work for individual clients and produce lines ready to wear every season. Couturier can be the head of the house and supervise its couture work and its production ready to be worn, or can be employed in a house for work in a specific area.

Other couturiers are independently employed. These designers can only decide to work in Couture. They can maintain a workshop where they can receive clients and make their designs. Given that their client funds may be small, self -employed by Couturiers do not have to use assistants, instead to do all the design, construction and finishing themselves.
