What is the bumper cot?

The bumper cot is a padded pillow that fits around the baby's cot on the inside of the crib. They come in many different styles, often coordinated to match another bedding, and are usually attached to the crib by binding around several slats. At one point, the bumper crib makes a lot of sense, because the slats in the crib were technically large enough to get the baby in the head. It is strongly recommended that you do not use an older crib for this reason, but instead bought one that has a much smaller ordered distance between the grates, so you risk your child's life. In fact, there are a number of organizations, especially the sudden group for awareness of the death of infant death (SIDS), which indicate that the bumper pillows are not very safe and can increase the risk of accidental suffocation. A similarly large blanket that can accompany the cot is the disadvantage of unnecessary and the risk of the same risk for a random chose. Sids group awareness of sids dThey support the use of small light blankets or blankets instead of large blankets under which the child could catch.

If you decide to use the cot pad, you should settle the baby in the middle of the crib and remove the bumper pad when the child can override or move in the crib. Some restless children can twist to the side of the crib, even if they can't turn over. If you notice that your child is able to easily change positions, you should get rid of the pad on the crib earlier.

Although many cots are nice and often very attractive to new mothers, the current laws on the safety of the cot make them largely unnecessary. In particular, they may pose a risk to your child and no aesthetic value is worth a child's life. One potential solution is a number of bumpers cot that are made of network instead of being stronglystuffed. Because the network allows breathability, it can be a good solution if you are worried that the arm or legs of the baby could get stuck between the cots. Look for breathable bumper cushions that recommend groups of SIDS.
