What is a cultivator?
The cultivator is a general term for any tool used to prepare the soil for planting, and the name of four specific tools: a piece of machine connected to the tractor, a small engine measurement machine, manual action tool and traditional hand tool. It is designed to remove weeds with shallow roots and break the surface soil near the aeration plant. These tools can also be used to mix compost and fertilizer into the soil. It mixes the soil when rolling weeds, kills them, but leaves them in the soil to limit the erosion.
