What is the leaf table?

Drop leaf table is a table that has at least one leaf with curtains that allow the leaf to fall straight against the legs of the table. The drop table table can have half of the table that falls, or may have two hanging sides that drop, with a narrow section left in the middle of the table. Drop leaf tables are available as dining or occasional tables and can be in any wooden surface and shape.

The English Elizabet drop leaf table dates back to the 16th century. These tables were often made of oak and designed to double their length. Previously, Elizabeth drop leaf tables are usually made of simple Gothic style, while the later ones are often more sophisticated carved. The English Jacobean tables at the beginning of the 17th century are large and are more of the feet on the gate rather than in the design. The table tables of the gate differs from the style of the Drop Leaf table in the fact that the assembly of the legs turns like a gate to support the leaf when it is not suspended.

Tap leaf table made of goodThe wood, such as cherry, walnut or oak, may look very elegant, even if the leaf has fallen. They are also very versatile and useful tables such as a dining table with a drop leaf with two leaves that can be stored behind the sofa and the remaining narrow middle part can be used as a sofa table for holding a lamp or other objects. Smaller drop tables with folded leaves can be easily stored in the cabinet.

Drop leaves are ideal for small spaces such as limited diet apartments. One leaf can be dropped to push the table directly on the wall to save space. If additional meals or serving space is needed, the table can be moved from the wall and the drop leaf can be returned to the place to allow the entire table.

Boards with leaves with leaves hanging near the floor offer the largest table space when the leaves are introduced. These tables are usually very easy to set and store. The tables on the side of the leaves are also useful for fun, as they can be stored with leaves almost anywhere at home and then set up when and where they need to hold food or serve meals.
