What is the duvet liner?
Down Comporters, originally made of large, fabric bags filled with bird feathers, maintained warm sleepers for centuries. The magician, called the duvet in Europe and Canada, is usually referred to as a blanket of Americans. The duvet insert is a modern version of Eiderdown, which was a blanket made exclusively from the feathers of the EIDER. The insert is a popular item of bedding in many parts of the world and the design has passed a long journey since its early days.
The blanket insert has its roots in rural Europe, where long winters were tolerated by bedtime between two feathers. At that time, the feathers used from any kind of bird came, but over time people realized that down the Eid duck had exceptional insulating properties. This has become a preferred type of blanket for blankets, which has become known simply as "Eiderdowny". Eider Down is torn out of the breast of a female duck to align the nest to run young and now harvested only after the ducklings have left the nest.
A common form of bedding, especially in Europe, forms the duvets with the basis of the bedroom in a large number of houses. The blanket insert is usually white and is used inside the blanket that corresponds to the color palette of the bedroom and leaves. Verchers are available in a number of standard sizes to adapt to different bed models, and the blankets are sold in sets with appropriate bedding.
is no longer just a large bag filled with feathers, the blanket inserts now consist of a box -sewn cloth or "ticking" separated by a series of inner fabric or partition walls. This prevents deposits down in one part of the insert, so some areas are warm while others are cold. The limited amount of filling in each box allows down to full height and capture the air between feathers for maximum heat and insulation.
Summer weight, various winter weights, Hungarian, Canadian and Polish goose are just a few of many availableTypes of duvets. At the top of the range, expensive duvets made from Eider Duck Down are available in bed stores. All blanket inserts are sold according to their "TOG" value, which is a standard industrial term for measuring thermal resistance. The insert of the summer weight of the blanket has a TOG rating of about 4.5, while the liner of the winter weight duvet could carry the tog rating between 11 and 13.5.
