What is Scheffler's dwarf?

Scheffler dwarf is a permanent miniature plant that belongs to the Araliaceae Plants family. This can be found naturally on Tai -wan and it is an evergreen shrub. Although it is mainly used as a potter plant, it can also be placed in the garden area. If it is properly trimmed, it can be shaped into the bonsai tree. Scheffler's dwarf resembles a small palm.

This small shrub or miniature tree has a solid base. It has several individual branches that are light green to tanned color. On the branches there are shiny elongated leaves and are crumpled in the middle with one heavy vein. These leaves also have smaller veins that are darker green. The flowers are small and lilac-similar and are grouped into larger clusters. It is said that the Scheffler dwarf flowers have a pleasant, overwhelmed smell. The flowers produced by this plant nest into the leaves and when both are combined, the plant resembles an umbrella. Therefore, this plant is sometimes referred to as an umbrella.

Scheffler dwarf is a tropical plant, which means that it cannot handle a colder climate or temperatures for a long time. It will prosper at temperatures that do not drop below 40 degrees Fahrenheit (approximately 4 ° C). They can grow in height by more than 12 feet (about 3 m) and can break down a full 8 feet (about 2 m). These measurements only apply if the tree is not cut into the Bonsai shape.

Most tropical plants must be placed in direct sunlight, but Scheffler's dwarf also needs a small amount of shade, especially when flowers are present. At higher temperatures, fine leaves and flowers can be damaged by too large sunlight. This plant should be regularly connected and the soil should always be wet. When planting outdoors, the roots of the younger dwarf of Scheffler may be damaged by excessive amounts of water. Plants should be placed on a gentle hill to let the water drain from the roots.

Scheffler dwarf should never be placed around small animals or children. Each part of this plant can be very poisonous if it is ingested. When promoting it is better to use wood instead of seeds.
