What is an optical lamp?
FIBER-OPTIC LAMP is a lighting device that uses optical fibers rather than traditional bulbs to create lighting for a particular space. These types of lamps can come in a number of different styles and can use optical fibers in many different ways to create lighting. There are a number of advantages that this type of lighting, including the potential use of natural light to create lighting, reduced energy requirements for such a lamp and greater control over the light direction. The fibers-optical lamp is not always the ideal solution for any lighting situation, so traditional lamp styles are still quite popular. Most lamps use one or more bulbs, usually traditional bulbs with a glass housing surrounding the fiber, to produce light in the area. On the other hand, an optical fiber lamp uses an optical fiber rather than a lighting bulb to create lighting. They work by transmitting light signals through their core that is packed in a cloak that serves to bounce lightand to prevent the fiber from escaping. One light source in the lamp is sufficient to ensure tens or hundreds of optical fibers. Optical fiber lamp usually uses numerous optical fiber configurations to create lighting in many different ways.
In general, two main cable types are used in the fiber-optical lamp: endglow and side forest. The endglow cables are closed in a solid opaque cover that prevents emitting of light within the fiber optics and only open ends emit light from the fibers. On the other hand, the translucent cables are the side of the cable. These different cables are used to create different effects, which allows anything from a spiral lamp that is illuminated over the entire range on a reading lamp that controls light in a particular area.
lamp with optical fiber usually requires only a small light source, which means that such lighting may require less energythan traditional lamps. However, the use of fiber optics is some disadvantages, such as less options for lighting sources within the lamp and difficulty in repairing such a lamp. An optical fiber lamp can also be more expensive than a traditional lamp, thanks to the technology needed to work with optical fibers.
