What is the jacket?
Flak Jacket is a protective clothing designed to wear a fuselage that keeps the fine internal organs and the rib cage safe from damage to the battlefield. When well maintained, the flak jacket can protect the wearer from bullets, shrapnel and other projectiles, except for a very close range. An alternative spelling for clothing is a flack jacket, with both spelling technically considered correct. The inserts were largely replaced by light body armor, but played a very important role in the war for part of the twentieth century. Airmen were at risk of serious injuries and death on fliegerabwehrkanone , exploding shells fired from German anti -aircraft weapons operated by ground military staff. Shells were colloquially known as "flakes" and could also cause serious damage to unprotected torso pilots and crews also their plane. At night with heavy shelling, Flak could fly virtually impossible and highly dangerous. Feeling that they were amazed by people from all sides thatThey shot shells, transferred to the civilian world through many veterans. Unfortunately, the flake to protect against a metaphorical flake has not yet been developed.
To make Wilkinson Sword Company deal with the question of literal flashes, developed a flak jacket, a clothing made of material with heavy weight lined with metal plates. The flake could also take the form of a vest flake and leave your arms for a better range of movement. Jackets proved to be useful, but very bulky. Other allied units adopted flakes for crews of their aircraft and ground soldiers used them as a protective Myar as well. Many soldiers were saved from death during World War II and their jacket injuries along with conflicts around the world. For many nations, the flake for soldiers was a standard problem along with other basic supplies.
extensive acceptance of Kevlar® and lighter protective plates led to the production of robust,But much lighter body armor. The term "flak jacket" is sometimes used to indicate modern body armor, which is made by a range of companies. However, steel boards and bulky materials of old -fashioned jackets are not used on the modern battlefield, although many veterans have saved their flakes to commemorate their experience.
