What is Frisbee®?
Frisbee® is a plastic disk designed to fly in the air when it is thrown. The name "Frisbee®" is a registered trademark of the product produced by WWM-O, while the general term used to indicate this item is Flying Disc . "Frisbee" is often used to link to any toy of the flying disk, but like "Band-Aid®" is used for any type of adhesive dressings.
While the toys of flying disc was not commercially produced until 1948, the concept is much older. Throwing aerodynamic discs for fun has probably been as long as they have light lids, pans and plates. The clay pigeons used for the target practice since the 19th century resemble the design of Frisbee®. Sometime at the end of the 19th or early 20th century, university children in various New England institutions began throwing around can of can of Connecticut Pie Company known as Frisbie, from which the Wham-O product is taken. Walter Frederick Morrison and WarrenCer® and appeared on the shelves in 1948. In 1955 Morrison made his debut with an improved design sold as Pluto Platter®. Wham-O bought its design that remains used two years later. It was modified and renamed and released as Frisbee® in 1958.
frisbee® are often used for recreation, informally or as a structured activity. Many people enjoy throwing frisbee® around between friends or home dog in the park, while others are involved in a team sport concentrated around a flying disk. Some popular sports using Frisbee® include Ultimate - shortened from Ultimate Frisbee, Disc Golf, Fricket and Double Disc Court. There are also structured Frisbee® competitions for dogs that are based on loading.
Flying Discs is produced in various materials and sizes adapted to specific purposes. For example, those used for disk golf,They are smaller and thicker than typical frisbee®, while the disk dog uses durable flying discs that can withstand dog teeth. Some frisbees® are designed to be aesthetically attracted by children, with bright colors, entertaining patterns and even built -in lights for the night game.
