What is a green flash?
During the east and sunset, the sun contains all the colors of the spectrum, although green and blue light is more scattered, causing the disk to look more red to orange. Under certain atmospheric conditions, however, a short flash of green or rarely blue appears. This is known as a "green flash" and it is not an optical illusion, even if it could feel like one. The green flash usually takes only a moment and often lacks occasional observers. However, photographs and larger studies of this phenomenon have shown that this theory is incorrect. Green flash is formed because of the unique properties that have light. When the sun sets, the light it emits is scattered by the atmosphere. When the sun approaches the edge of the horizon, it becomes distorted in the shape of and the co -form. The result is a green flash when the conditions are favorable.
the sun seems slightly flattened as it sets up for distortionatmosphere. For special lenses you can see a weak yellow disk slightly above the red setting sun, followed by green, blue and purple. These colors are created differences in the density and temperature of the Earth's atmosphere. If the weather is extremely bright when the sun slips under the horizon, it seems that it flashes quickly with all the colors of the spectrum. The result is a green or blue flash, a momentary appearance of a bright green dot or rods on the horizon. Sometimes a green flash has a beam that appears to be projected from the rapidly setting sun.
conditions are not always right to see a green flash, although it happens technically every time the sun rises and sets. The lines of green flashes are associated with mystical events. Sometimes it is also crawling in popular culture, while green flashes play a role in films like Pirates of the Caribbean and also in some books.
Be careful when searching for a green flash. The setting sun can still cause eye damage, especially if it isstared for a long time. Since green flashes usually appear as soon as the sun slips through the horizon, you can quickly look to assess the position of the Sun and focus only after the time for the green flash is approaching. It will take only a moment to look, so if you have a camera, try using Sportshot to capture sunset to ensure that you will not miss the green flash.
