What is Greenshank?

Greenshanks are wading birds in the Sandpiper family. During the period of reproduction, they usually live in northern Europe and in winter usually migrate to Africa and Asia, although in some cases they can migrate to Australia. Greenshank is about 14 inches (36 cm) long and weighs approximately £ 0.5 (0.25 kg). They have long green legs and their feathers are white with gray brown spots and a solid white bottom. Greenshanks have a lifetime of approximately 10 years and have never been an endangered species, partly because they can survive on a number of habitats.
