What is Hembitch?

Hemlitch is an ornamental stitch sewn on a hem of a piece of fabric or clothing. Hemstituching is a form of embroidery drawn threads - a part of the parallel threads is removed from the fabric and the remaining perpendicular fibers are grouped with another fiber to form small decorative holes in the fabric. These holes are often patterned to form proposals that resemble lace. Despite its name, Hemtitch is not limited to the edges of the fabric - it can be used for decoration on any part of the fabric. While theoretically, any woven fabric could be lined, fabrics with strong, easily removed fibers usually make the process easier. Basic Hemtitch includes groups of fibers only on one side of the open gap, but there are many varieties of teens and numerous possible variations on this technique. Other proposals HembitChzahzahrný ladder, double twisted and rag. The fabric was folded and placed so that the stitch caught its edge to create a neat and attractive hem. With progress in technology were invented sewing withTroy that give the appearance of hembitation without removing any fibers.

These sewing machines rely on the tension of sewing threads to form holes in the fabric. The holes are less easily controlled than manually embroidered bundles, so they have less lace appearance, but are quite useful for creating crocheted edges on the fabric. The hook needle is pushed by holes to connect the crocheted lace to the hemsteted fabric.

hand -woven fabrics are often woven with respect to hemmitters. At the desired place The Stitch, a surrogate symbol is inserted into the warp. Weaving then continues after a surrogate symbol. When the project is removed from the weaving state, there is no need to carefully pull out the fibers - one simply removes the surrogate symbol and creates the required bundles.

It is important to realize that the word hemstem has meanings for both embroidery and other textile art. Hemitching, more appropriately written as two SloVA - haemitia - are often used to mean any kind of stitch on the hem. When watching the pattern, it is important that one understands which of these meanings is used. For example, a stitch of a blind hem is not a form of embroidery drawn fibers, but a sewing technique. This stitch is often written as blind Hemtitch and should be reasonably distinguished.
