What is a skirt?

Hobble is a skirt or skirt of dress that is so narrow in hemlin, which prevents movement. Women who wear skirt must take very short calculated steps and are said to wander rather than walk in a comfortable step. It is virtually impossible to run in the Hobble skirt, but at the time they were worn, the ladies were still frowning. The term Hobble Skirt was born long after a real design. After 1910 they were first called restrictive skirts for the first time. Skirts may include hidden folds or slots that have allowed easier walking. Most often wedding dresses of the beginning of the 20th century represented a real skirt because women really did not need a quick step, if they decided to take a break, forwarding!

Sometimes the skirt was a praise under the knee, or firmly sat just below the knee instead of directly on the hem of the ankle. This is the case of a modern skirt of mermaid and many designs in the early 20th century. Legs of the legs below the knee often leads to the same effect of hobbling as well as meKO tight ankle hem.

Although the skirts are less fashionable, they certainly never came out completely from fashion. Modern skirt pencils, although shorter in length can still be skirt. Formal dresses for balls, balls or red carpet action can also show elements of skirts. Today, however, when the Habble skirt is used or a dress is suitable, usually contains slots, often relatively high and revealing them, so the movement is not defended.

great skirts from the beginning of the 20th century retreated much shorter hem and looser anti-Hobblimung clothing like Flapper costumes in the 1920s. As women have gradually become much more active, they participated in sports and long -distance walking, both the habit and restrictive corsets were undesirable features. Instead, freedom of movement was much desirable, which represents the independence of young women.
