What is a horned frog?
HORTED FROG, also known as Ceratophrys, is a genus of South American frogs. There are many types of this type of frog, but only two species are commonly maintained as pets. It is a Ceratophrys Ortnata, also known as Argentine or decorated with a horned frog and Ceratophyrs Cranwelli, also known as Cranwell's horned frog. These frogs are usually relatively large, reaching a length of 4 to 6 inches (10 to 15 centimeters) and weighing up to £ 4.4 (2 kilograms). These frogs can be green, orange, yellow or brown with black or red spots, and albino horned frogs are also available. In the wild, these frogs are usually hunted by secreting under leaves, grass or moss on the forest floor and coming around the prey. They normally feed on insects, worms, small plasimi, small mammals and other frogs, even other horned frogs. They can usually be maintained in the full of worms, crickets, small mice and small fish. Upper frogs will often feed indiscriminately if they are allowed and may be overweightWithout diet checks.
Care for a horned frog usually involves keeping it in the tank regulated by temperature and humidity at an ideal temperature of 77 to 82.4 degrees Fahrenheit (25 to 28 degrees Celsius). This type of frog usually regulates its own body temperature by suppressing under the soil when it becomes too warm or dry. The tank lined with soil without chemicals, paper towels, coconut skin or peat moss can provide a reasonable habitat for captured corner frogs. Fogging of the tank lining with fresh water without chlorine every few days can help ensure the moisture that the frog needs to keep it cold and moist its skin.
These frogs generally cannot swim well, but they like to moisten regularly, so most people who keep them with pets provide a shallow water container for the comfort of frogs. Many frogs use this bowl of water as toiletnThe area, so the Hornd Frog enthusiasts are generally recommended to change the water daily. Cleaning the tank itself is generally recommended every 60 to 90 days. These frogs can absorb toxins through their skin, so it is considered to rinse the tank after cleaning to remove all chemical residues from the environment. Handling these frogs is generally considered to be threatening their well -being, as they can damage them with dirt, residues and skin oils on their hands.
