Leopard Geckos are a clear color of geckos from Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan and parts of India. Usually they are some variations of yellow and dark brown, although they may have different colors, including white and light pink lavender. These geckos are quite easy to take care of them, which makes them the ideal pet for someone new on the reptile.
There are several unusual features that make leopard geckos stand out among other species. It is one of the few types of geccos that have moving eyelids. In fact, their scientific name is derived from this feature, eublepharis macularis ; eublepharis means "real eyelids" and macularis , which means "spotted".
Hatchlings are usually striped yellow and dark brown, although there are variants of this pattern. As they grow, their stripes turn to stains and give them their common name. They usually reach about 8 to 10 inches (approximately 20 to 25 cm) as adults. Men and Women is a hard teoD themselves, although male geckos have a little stronger necks and wider heads than women. In captivity, they need several "skin" - boxes or other structures that provide shelter. Since they come from arid desert areas, they also need a source of heat in their habitat, although hot rocks should not be used because they can burn animals.
One gecko can be comfortable to accommodate 10 gallons (37.8 liters). Two or three leopard geckos can live in a tank 20 gallons (75.7 liters), but two men must never be assembled. There are various substrates that can be used in their tanks, including paper towels, shavings of wood, sand and bark, each with its own advantages and disadvantages. Leopard Geckos is easy to clean because they choose one corner of their tank is their “bathroom” and does not use any other area. In captivity they need their crickets or other clamps to becoated with vitamin and calcium powder. This is especially important for women who can lay eggs and hatchery. This is a defense mechanism that allows them to avert or escape the predator. For this reason, geckos should never be picked up by the tail and in fact he should touch the tail as little as possible. These lizards are able to regenerate their tails, but will never be as attractive as the original. They produce excellent class pets as well as “beginning” reptiles for those who do not know that they have owned these animals. There are many Color schemes and are usually considered quite attractive. Looking at the unpredictable faces of animals, it is easy to understand why they grow in popularity.
