What is a light tent?

Lightweight tent is most often used for backpack trips. In these situations, campers require tents that can be made without much effort and that can be set quickly. Most light tents fit into a backpack or convert them to their own transport package when folded. Most of them are not intended for position, and many of them also have no room to sit down. There are fewer common versions that can fit up to eight people with a permanent room, but they tend to be heavier than smaller versions, and are therefore more suitable for stationary camping than for long hiking trips. Larger tents for multiple people can weigh up to 30Lbs (13.6 kg). If the backpack in large groups, it is preferable to buy several small tents, rather than one large. This allows those who travel in a group, distribute weight loads between all campers and also provide a greater degree of privacy.

existsADA materials from which a light tent can be made. Canvas is the standard of tent materials for a very long time. New technologies have made it possible for manufacturers to manipulate significantly lower without endangering the integrity of the material. The main advantage of the canvas is its ability to absorb moisture in the tent. Nylon and polyester mixtures also got on the scene and provided a tent of a light and air feeling, while providing an effective shelter from the rain.

tent materials are measured in two ways. Denier (di) measures weight in grams per 1000 meters. Measures50 Di is considered very light and means that there are 50 grams of weight per 1000 meters of fabric. The second measurement is in the pounds per square inch (dogs). This says how much power the material can take before the pressure and leakage is issued, which is important to measure in hiking in areas with heavy rains. Military tents are evaluated to 25 dogs, but some tents go far with a rating of up to 165 dogs.

tents can also be made of several materIals. The aluminum has been the most common for years until the carbon fiber came. The carbon fiber is well known for its use in fishing poles. It is a strong, lightweight and flexible material that allows the structure of the tent to temporarily bend the elements and capture back to its normal state. Another material used in a lightweight tent construction is aluminum alloy. It has a little more weight than the carbon fiber, but never sucks and has higher crushing resistance and rust than conventional aluminum.
