What is the park?
Park is a waist or hip cold weather jacket, usually contains a connected hood lined with natural or synthetic fur. It can be filled down, acrylic fibers or other modern material for further insulation. The outer surface of the jacket can also be treated with a waterproofing agent to prevent moisture. The native tribes from Alaska and Canada were the first to build the park, also called Anorak in the UK. Waterproofing includes the application of fish oil on the outer layer. The first design did not include zippers or other connecting elements - it was rather the only piece that pulled over the wearer's head as a modern hooded poncho. Traditional styles also allowed the summer version with attached skirt.
The commercial version of the park was first introduced at the age of 30. The ideal customers were those who lived in extremely cold -ups and winter sports enthusiasts. The bonnet forms a wind section that reduces the feeling of cold, and the insulation is provided by lining of fur or faux fur. ParksFor hunters and outdoor workers often have several pockets sewing to the front for storage of glasses, ammunition and tools. Almost all styles have large pockets that provide additional insulation for cold hands.
Modern park does not have to have fur lining or ruffled traditional model. Catalog shops that have high -quality outdoor clothing have many different styles that suit everyone from school children to skiers to outside. The thinner version of Winter Park can also appear on shelves as a spring jacket. This lighter jacket also has fur and long sleeves. The effect is rather a windbreaker than an insulated coat.
original, authentic parks are considered collectible items and you can see examples in museums with native exhibition areas.
