What is a post-it note?

Post-IT® Note is a slide with a low desktop adhesive that allows its location and moved several times without leaving the rest or causing damage. Some consumers refer to Post-IT® as a sticky note or just sticky and clearly colored paper slides in most offices around the world have become ubiquitous. They also made a jump to the digital world, where they are used to indicate documents, as well as in a hard copy document. The original Note Post-IT® is manufactured by 3M Corporation, which retains the name of the trademark. Other companies produce similar products that are marked as sticky or relocated notes. History begins in 1968, when Spencer Silver worked with adhesives in the 3M laboratory and tried to find out how best to use them. He came across an adhesive that was too weak to hold something, but noted that there was no residues left and that it was easy to move papers that were covered with glue. Although he has been playing for some timeWith glue, he couldn't figure it out with solid use, but he kept in mind.

In 1974, another employee of 3m, Art Fry, frustrated by paper marks in his anthem in the church. The signs were constantly slipping, often in unfavorable moments. Silver suggested coating markers with a fine glue and a post-it® note was born. In 1977, the notes were incredibly popular at the 3M headquarters and the research and development team tried to see how it was presented to the public.

The first post-it® hit the market in 1978 and got a weak reaction. 3M tested the product only in a limited number of cities, but were disappointed by lack of sales. Finally, the company resorted to distributing free samples around offices and other businesses, and the multi -form, who used them, immediately joined. In 1979, the product was extended to 11 Western states and in 1980 the Note Post-IT® was in many offices throughout the United Statesh. The office staff began to supply post-it® notes to people in areas without them.

The company continues to produce a classic post-it® note, which comes in a small convenient size and a distinctive lemon yellow color. According to 3M, there are eight standard Post-it® notes that come in 25 shapes and 62 colors. Obviously, the company has earned the success of a brand with a far -reaching range of products focused on various users from university students to environmental activists.

Post-IT® Note has become such a part of American society that the notes were even promoted to the level of art. Using multicolored Post-it® notes, artists have created huge murals, sculptures and a range of other pieces. Post-it® pranks are also widespread, especially in offices; Many of these jokes include the use of weight number of cheap notes to cover offices, houses or even cars.
