What is Saudi Abaya?

Saudi Abaya is a free article of women's clothing to cover the wearer from the neck to the ankle while leaving hands and face. Similar robes and cloaks wear women around the world as a modest form of a public costume derived from Koran's writings and Muslim traditions. In Saudi Arabia, women are legally obliged to wear abaya when they appear in public. This requirement is promoted by Mutaween, the Saudi religious police and relates to Muslims and non -Muslims. The purpose of wearing Saudi Abaya is to hide the body of a woman from men who are not directly related to her. It is part of a tradition of modest dresses that requires Saudi Arabian men to wear shirts and heads in public. The parts of the body that are considered inappropriate for public imaging are together as AWRAH . The specific parts of the body that make up AWRAH differ between women and men and bmezi by various cultures and theologies. In Saudi Arabia, Abaya is commonly worn in conjunction with gloves and a veil that covers the whole face except for a narrow gravelBiny around the eyes, although it is far from universal.

Abaya styles vary throughout Saudi Arabia. The basic design of Saudi Abaya consists of either sleeves or a single square leaf of a fabric that has a long poncho in the middle of the neck. Abayas are traditionally black, although the navy blue and dark brown abayas are not unusual. The sleeves of Saudi Abaya are often decorated with embroidery or stained patterns, with Abaya's body unadorned. In some more conservative areas of Saudi Arabi, such as Mecca and Medina, Abayas are more often black and completely unadorned.

, starting around 2008, clearly colored and decorated with Abayas began to grow in popularity in the more aluminary cities of Saudi Arabia. Although they adapt to the general and modest design of traditional Abays, these newer designs allow greater expression of the individuality and fashion of the women who wear them. Trend pointed out the international fashionCommunity and fashion shows were exhibited complicated Abayas. Although there is nothing about the decoration or color of Abaya in Saudi Arab law, there have been cases where Mutaween confiscated a clearly colored Abaya.
