What is Savonarola's chair?

Savonarola chair is a chair with a distinctive X -shaped frame. This chair is originally from the Mediterranean, where various versions in ancient Rome, Greece and Egypt, with examples of a chair from at least 2,000 BCE, were made. Many furniture companies produce modern Savonarola chair, including a replica of antiques along with chairs updated for modern aesthetics. It is also possible to buy antique chairs through auction houses, antique dealers and specialized furniture stores. This allowed the chair to be used for military campaigns and other outdoor activities. Over time, the design has become more decorated, and the chairs often lost the ability to fold when the world was added and the chair was equipped with heavy armrests and more and more sophisticated seats. Traditional Savonarola chairs used a frame with numerous legs Criss-Criss and created a set of slats along the side of the chair, and this design continues to be used in most Savonarola chairs.

These chairs were often covered with textile belts or pieces for comfort and sometimes contained pillows and other features designed to be more comfortable to use. Over time, Savonarola was considered a sign of a high social rank, while chairs were quite expensive, so they are only available for higher classes. The basic x frames also became quite complicated, with curves on the struts forming x, which gave it a more stylized look.

The chairman is probably named for Girolamo Savonarola, an Italian clergyman who briefly ruled Florence. People can also refer to the Savonarola chair like x chairs, dante chairs or scissors. These chairs are closely linked to the Renaissance, the Duprsten period, which were very popular throughout Europe. Numerous design of the design can be seen in art from this period and in the interior schemes to have a Renaissance taste, the Savonarola chair can be used as a decorative own ownost.

Although these chairs are associated with the Renaissance in imagination, it can also be updated for more modern aesthetics. Modern chairs can be made of wood, metal, plastics and other materials, and although they maintain the appearance and feeling that may be known, they have designs that turn from the traditionally decorated Savonarola chair.
