What is the silk dogwood?

Silky Dogwood, or Cornus amomum, is a decorative shrub with flat white flowers that, unlike striking flowers of the flowering dogwood. This deciduous plant grows in the United States south as in Florida and to Michigan, with samples found in Wisconsin, Tennessee and Ohia. It can grow in height up to 10 feet (3 m) and spread, making it a common choice as a wind turning for agricultural areas.
