What is Sitar?

Sitar is a musical instrument of the lute family, which is popular in India and in the Middle East, such as Iran, Israel and Turkey. At first glance, the instrument may look like a very long type of guitar. The body or gourd is made of Toomba , which is excluded and dried pumpkin. jawari or bridge, regulates the tone of the tool. Sitar often has 21 to 23 chains, but not all chains are played.

The strings are layered in two levels. If one string is torn, another string resonates or sounds without having to be torn. Sitar is considered a difficult tool to control. It requires good dexterity and flexibility in the fingers, because the notes are far apart. The strings also need a lot of pressure to detain them.

Because Sitar sleepers are movable and raised, the USUally takes a lot of practice to clearly hit the notes. A guitarist may have an advantage in learningPlay one, but both tools are still very different. Unlike the guitar, Sitar plays in two directions - vertically from top to bottom and horizontally from left to right. These two directions cover the entire scale and the jerking of the main chain has access to six comments on the scale. The jerk used is right right to the left and this is opposite to the movement of bending used to play blues guitar.

Sitar is over 400 years old and is traditionally used in hindustani classical music. His music is considered emotional and should be played sincerely. Ravi Shankar is one of Sitar's most famous players known to the Western world. He taught George Harrison of the Beatles to play the instrument, and Harrison played IT in at least three Beatles, including norweigdřevo . Other rock groups such as Rolling Stones and Metallica have a sitar music in several of their songs.
