What is a soap fireplace?

Soap fireplace is designed and built using soap for the facade and insert. The fireplace, which is often called space or cloak, does not use any materials other than mined and cut soap stone to complete the fireplace. Meapstone comes in many different colors and styles depending on where it is mined and on different minerals present on the ground.

The advantage of a soapfrot is that it stores heat longer than traditional versions of brick or steel. Soap stone provides a soothing and radiant heat that is considered comfortable to users. The soap fireplace will actually store heat from the fire in the stone itself. Soap stone fireplace often radiates heat after a higher fire. Unfortunately, soap tiles used to align conventional bricks or steel fireplaces do not offer the properties of retention heat pure version. There are cast iron inserts that use soaps as spaces or facade and there are 100 percent of true styles of masonry soap. This type of fireplace is assembled on site from soap and not to be used to complete itNo other materials. The clean soap fireplace offers high heat retention, for which the soap stone is known, while it remains touch - the exterior is not too hot - and maintains a heat of approximately 200 degrees Fahrenheit (93 degrees Celsius).

The cast iron type of the fireplace insert, which uses soap for the surroundings, has no heat retention properties of pure soap stone. Soap tiles type cast iron retains minimal heat, but the characteristics of warming this design come from the fireplace and air heating. Once it was brought up to the temperature by burning a wooden fire inside the soap fireplace, the Stone will continue to release heat for many hours, often overnight depending on the home and its insulation properties.

The soap unit is very heavy and should only be installed on the cement plate. Houses with cellars should not try to install a soap unit without first contacting a professional inStalination technician. Soap units are bleed from the lower rear of the fireplace and should be associated with a standard six -inch smoke. While the fireplace can be assembled by the owner of the house, we recommend that the smoke connection is fulfilled by a certified installation program.
