What is the Tasmanian devil?

Tasmanian Devil is a marsupial that makes his home in Tasmania. They have the reputation of wild fighters that partly deserve because men often fight for territory or rights to mating. They are also fertile hunters, usually using the strategy of hunting packs to overthrow more prey. The first immigrants to Tasmania felt that the Tasmanian devils were a special inconvenience because they would kill sheep. They were also concerned with loud shouts and growth that the animals exposed to during eating, fighting or killing prey.

The Tasmic Devil is not particularly large. Adults can weigh about £ 15 (6.8 kg) and be about 2 feet long (60.96 cm). Birth weight, on the contrary, is small. The average newborn is about the size of the grain of rice. The Tasmanian devil is usually dark black, although it can have some white brand around the neck. Their prominent noses give them an excellent sense of smell, which is ideal for hunting and watching. In addition, they are quite stocky in the body, with strong limbs and very sharp teeth.

The life expectancy of the Tasmanian devil is about 8 years. Only about 40% will survive into one aging, maybe partially caused by the fact that the Tasmanian devils are huge. They can have up to 50 children in one litter, but survive only four litters. New children will try to get into the housing and join the four mother's teats. The attached children will survive and the rest is simply left to die. Like Kangaroos, Baby Devil is called Joey.

mothers take care of Joeys for about 6 months before they are shut down and sent away from the mother's environment. The younger devils are more agic than their older counterparts and are particularly adept at the climbing of trees. This can be economical grace from their main predators, domestic dogs and other adult Tasmani Devils.

Tasmanian devils are night hunters and even those who do not like them must agree to perform an important function by keeping the number of ratsAnd mice in the area. They are closely linked to Quoll, who also lives in Tasmania, but Quoll has a better reputation and is not considered so bad. In fact, the Tasmanian devil is not really vicious, but his growl and shouts are somewhat worrying, while Quoll hunts somewhat quietly, and is often preferred.

The Tasmanian Devil is called the ravine feeder because it consumes a huge amount of food on one session and is known to eat virtually anything they encounter, no matter how old or rotten. The devils are sometimes called carnivorous vacuum cleaners because they tend to clean areas of skeletons, animal seals and garbage. In fact, they prefer to get things easily as dead animals, to hunt animals for themselves.

Because the Tasmanian Devil holds rodents, they were allowed to prosper and are now a representative animal for parks and wild game Tasmania. Although the population is doing well, a new disease called the devil is wasting the facial disease that startedcause the death of young adult devils. Currently, scientists are investigating the cause of this disease in the hope of its elimination, so the Tasmanian devil will continue to prosper.
