What is theremin?

As an unusual musical instrument, Thertine has many demands on fame. It is both the first electronic instrument and the only instrument that is played without the musician touching the device. Leon Themin, with a background in electronics, invented this strange sound generator in 1918. Famous for popular listeners through scary sci -Fi film soundtracks and beach boys Pop Ditties, is active in symphony and rock 'n' roll similarly. Originally patented his theremine as a "Etherphone" in Russia in 1921. He felt the musical sounds looked as if the magic outside the air. He wanted musicians to integrate their other world music into traditional orchestras, but encountered some discrimination from "classical" composers.

Themin works by means of body, hands and arms, to disrupt electromagnetic fields. THEREMIN looks like a medium -sized box with two extended radio antennas, one loop and one straight. Box, usually wood, closes the electric composEnties that generate the right electromagnetic fields and amplifier that make the signal audible. One antenna controls volume or intensity and the other controls the pitch or tone. The oscillators create waves with a certain frequency surrounding the instrument. When hands are introduced into the field, they change capacity and affect frequency.

Theremin is played with careful control of the hands and fingers while keeping your body and head perfectly. The right hand controls the tone with a straight antenna and the left hand changes the volume with an antenna. When your left hand is close, the pitch is higher and as it moves away, the playground reduces deep octaves. Move the right hand to soften the Govern for mute and the displacement further increases the output. Variations can be somewhat controlled in some models.

Clara Rockmore, a classically trained violinist, devoted her life to the composition and playing of classical songs using theremin. Traveled to the svAs an internationally renowned artist and won the audience in a strange box in the mid -20th century. After electronic companies ceased to produce thermin, Bob Moog had fun by creating his own as a teenager. Later, his famous music society invented a key synthesizer and took over the cause of the re -introduction of inspirational theremin for the new generation.
