What is the tuned Ottoman?

The Osman is a footstool that has been decorated with the upholstery technique known as tufting. TUFTING includes the use of a large needle to pass the thread by layers of fabric or foam and create a textured, decorative pattern on the upholstery surface. There are many different types of sewn otomans. Some are simple footstools, while others can serve as storage units or coffee tables.

The function that distinguishes the sewn Ottoman from the other Otmans is that it is decorated with the upholstery technique known as tufting. Tufting includes the use of a large needle to pass through thread through a thick layer of foam and fabric, which forms a pillow, frontal plate or other decorative object. Normally, the tuft is anchored on the front of the object using a button covered with a fabric. The thread that holds this button in place is pulled very firmly through the back of the object and then tied and creates a decorative "character" on the front of the object. Often the multiple Tufts are arranged on the front of the object in geometricThings such as diamonds or squares, creating a visually pleasant decorative effect.

In addition to the fact that in some way, this tuffing technique will somehow displays any strict rules on how to appear by a tap Osman. Some have only one tuft in the center of their upper surface, while others are covered with recurrent tufts. The tap Osman can be upholstered in leather, velvet, husband or many other materials. It can be upholstered from top to bottom, or is equipped with an upholstered leg, which is located on the base or legs made of wood, metal or other material. Furthermore, the Ottoman round, square, rectangular or many other possible shapes can be tuted.

In addition, the tuned Otomans may differ according to the function. Some are simply intended as footstools and are usually located next to the chair, couches or other seating units. Ors can servet as footstools and at the same time perform a second function. For example, some have a removable upper part that can be stored, while others provide shelves where items such as magazines and DVD can be kept. Large tuned Otomans can sometimes double like coffee machines, although the unevenness of their surface can make it difficult to maintain high, thin objects such as erect glasses.
