What is a two -piece sleeve?
Two -piece sleeve is a sleeve made of two pieces of material instead of a traditional approach that uses only one piece. The purpose of this type of sleeve is to allow a larger range of bending movement in the elbow. When a more adapted appearance is required, a two -piece sleeve is often selected.
sleeves tend to wrinkles, specifically in the elbow area. The two -piece sleeve offers less wrinkling than its one -piece counterpart. This is because two pieces of material create a slight L -shaped shape, a similar elbow bend and an imitating way in which the hand is naturally held.
While the natural shape of the arm first seems to be cylindrical, in fact it is not. Even in a completely relaxed state, the arms have a slight natural bend. With a slight bend on the elbow, the front of the arm is naturally shorter than the back of the arm. For this reason, the back of the sleeve must be a slightly longer than to match the actual size of the arm.
The two -piece sleeve has seams that appear on the front and back of the arm. Under the sleeve part will be ine reality slightly smaller than the upper part of the sleeve. This will actually make the seam less evident on the finished garment.
The two -piece sleeve seams also fall slightly outside the middle and back of the arm. When seams falling in offset places, they are less obvious when the garment is worn. This strategic placement of seams also allows for a greater range of movement.
Thetwo -piece sleeve is traditionally used in full sleeves and three -quarter sleeves, unlike half the sleeve. This is because there is no need for a bend in a shorter sleeve in the elbow. The disposable sleeve is also much easier to produce, so most of the pattern will follow this assumption for shorter sleeves.
jacket designs tend to use two -piece technology even more than shirts and blouses. Jackets require an even greater movement, because below them are usually worn by more clothing. Whatever the type of clothing with long sleeves any, two -piece ruCoffee offers those who wear it as a charming, adapted fit.
