What is the lizard uromastyx?

Uromastyx lizard, related to iguana, ranges from 10 to 36 inches (25 to 91 cm) in full growth. Better known as Spiny-Tiled Lizard, his name comes from two Greek words: oura , which means "tail" and mastigo , which means "whip". As a species, Uromastyx is characterized by a heavy, muscular tail that can be rotated at high speed in the attacker. Its habitats are deserts where the terrain consists of hills, sand and rocks.
