What is a wind flower?
"Windflower" is a common name given by many different flowering plants, all of the family of ranunculatae plants, also known as the ButterCup family and genus. The name probably comes from the Greek meaning of the word "anemone", which is the "daughter of the wind". Wind flowers are usually grown as ornamental garden plants, although they were once used as medicinal herbs. Most varieties bloom very early in the spring, so, like other flowers blooming in time, such as snowdrop and crocus, the wind flower flower is often considered a harder weather.
Most wind flower varieties are perennial, which means they live for a relatively long time. Plants are also usually herbal, which means that their leaves die after the end of the growing season and are replaced by new leaves next season. Many species called "Wind" have leaves that die very early in the season, often in the middle of the sun.
Since then, many species that can be called this name, the appearance of the plant andThe flowers themselves differ. The leaves are usually dark green, folk leaves and grow in small clusters. Flowers are usually relatively large and in the shape of a bowl and when they grow wild, their color is usually white. Most species grown in gardens have brightly colored flowers that can be pink, blue, lavender or crimson.
wind flower is usually grown from the tuber, organ that plants use to store water and nutrients. The guard has small buds commonly referred to as "eyes" that obscure its outer surface and finally hatch underground stems called rhizomes. Wind headlamps should be stored in a cool place in the container up to a week before planting. If the tubers are stored for too long, they may begin to hatch prematurely.
It is usually the best time to grow wind clay autumn, so the plants will be large and healthy and ready to start flowering in the spring. Tubers should be planted in a hloUbce about three inches (about eight centimeters) in a damp, richly composted soil. During the winter months, when Frost can negatively affect the growth process, seedlings can be covered with a protective layer of dry leaves or other mulch or litter. Plants are generally successful in shady conditions, and if they are planted in full sun, they may require additional protection. It is not difficult to maintain, even if they are prone to infestation of the moth larvae.
Many varieties of flower wind is poisonous and can cause damage to people and animals that enjoy them. However, most species also have an unpleasant bitter taste, so the high level of toxicity is unusual, because most people quickly spit out if it accidentally. Plants are poisonous because they contain a chemical called protanemonin, which usually occurs in all parts of the plant, including leaves, flowers and rhizomes. Protanemonine can cause severe stomach sickness, vomiting and burning in the throat and mouth. Klowers and other related plants were once afterUsed to induce vomiting, but in modern times doctors generally recommend these plants to take these plants internally.
