What is a winter drum?

Winter drum is a group of percussionists who represent an internal competitive performance, which usually include both music playback and a march into formations. Depending on the requirements of the program, there may be changing tools of drum tools used in the winter drum shows and different types of drum tools from marching and concert bands can be integrated. These groups of musicians are often part of a high school or university music department, although there are also many independent community drum lines. The competitive period for these internal drum sets usually takes place from October to March each year. Each show of the drum is presented within the internal gym, most often on a basketball court. In addition to drums used in marching routines, the winter drum may also include a stationary drum section commonly known as a pit. This group is made up of musicians playing larger tools such as xylophones, timpani, chimes and even drum kits that usually sealEat in rock bands. Some winter drums give more musical creativity to their sections by electric keyboards and guitars. The rules of competition generally allow this wide range of tools to select, because the only element that is usually not allowed is a previously recorded musical composition.

Winter drum shows usually have a lot of theater elements such as costumes and orchards that can be sophisticated in some cases. Most of these inner drums sets up at the top of a heavy sail on the desktop to cover the floor of the gym where the competition takes place. These sails are usually made of vinyl, which was painted by designs to match the theme of the show of the drum.
