What is a winter drum?

Winter drum is a group of percussionists who represent an internal competitive performance, which usually include both music playback and a march into formations. Depending on the requirements of the program, there may be changing tools of drum tools used in the winter drum shows and different types of drum tools from marching and concert bands can be integrated. These groups of musicians are often part of a high school or university music department, although there are also many independent community drum lines.
