What is Air Bubbler?
Air Bubbler, sometimes also called aerate, is a device that can come in several different sizes and functions, with several different potential applications, but usually has better oxygen level control in the water body. It can be a small air bubbler used in a fish reservoir or a small aquarium or larger models designed for use in larger water bodies such as small lakes and ponds. Regardless of the design or function of the air bubble, it is usually designed to maintain a more uniform level of oxygenation throughout the water. There may be tendencies in stagnant water so that the top of the water has a higher oxygen content than the lower water area. Striation can occur, while the upper areas are warmer and richer in oxygen, while the lower areas are cold and free of oxygen. These low areas may not have enough oxygen for fish to survive, push fish up and create a crowd or unsustainable fish environment.
This type of lane can also cause the accumulation and release of various toxic gases, such as hydrogen sulphide, because the organic material is beginning to decompose more slowly in anaerobic or oxygen depressed environment. Air Bubbler works by moving water around the aeration of the surface or aeration to increase the oxygen level throughout the water and create a more stable environment for fish and other organic growth. In shallow water bodies, surface aerates are usually sufficient and usually float on top of the water. They work by pulling the water into the unit, then spraying water through the air and raising the oxygen level in the water when the droplets spray back down.
deeper water formations, those average more than six feet (about two meters) to depth, usually require lower aerates installed on the floor of the pond or lake. This feature sends bubbles up with water, turn water and create a cycle of movement in water that mixes the upper and lower tillstvy to maintain uniform oxygenation. Air movement of water is similar to the convection process found in a pot of boiling water.
For smaller water systems, such as an aquarium for a fish, a small air bubbler is often used to better ensure proper aeration of water. Fish require them to breathe and survive certain oxygen levels in the water. The fish reservoir sometimes cannot provide enough oxygen throughout the water system and therefore aeration helps to provide more regulated oxygen levels in the tank.
