What is the air cleaner?
Air cleaner is any device used to remove molds, cigarette smoke, dust, pet and other pollutants and allergens from the air. The most popular type of air purifier for home use is high -efficiency filters (HEPA). HEPA is first used during World War II to capture radioactive dust and physically cleanse air by "catching" bacteria and pollutants when air passes through them. To make HEPA filters efficient, all air inside the room or building must enter the filter.
In the US, HEPA filters are regulated by the US Department of Energy. Any products marked as "hepa-type" or "99% hepa" do not meet this requirement and should be purchased carefully if at all. HEPA filters
