What is an albino frog?

Albino frog is any frog that lacks a pigment called melanin. When assessing a genetic defect, albinism may occur in any frogs, as in most animals. Caused by a recessive gene, this defect is rarely observed in nature, but is more often found in frogs captured. Although the appearance of the albino frog changes, this amphibian will be different from the counterpart not Albino. Melanin is responsible for the production of pigment in most animals, so this defect deteriorates any pigment production. Since the gene is recessive, animals with normal coloring of albinism can be without showing any features. This also means that the defect can be intentionally produced by breeding two Albino animals. Sometimes, however, they can hire the yellowish color. Because their irises also lack the right pigments, the blood vessels of each retina can be seen through each iris. So albin frogs seem to have red or pink eyes. This shortage of pigment as wellini eyes sensitive to light.

In addition to the lack of pigment, these frogs have no serious health problems. Although the wild albino frog has a shorter average life, that the wild naphno frog, captured Albinos and Nealbinos live the same time. In the wild, Albinos lacks camouflage that protects normally colored frogs from predators. Therefore, their chances of seeing and consuming the predator are significantly increased.

Since the coloring of the frog is often one of the main identifiers of species, it is often difficult to say the type of albino frog if it is no longer known. Albino frogs occur in nature, but are more likely to be seen in captivity. These frogs are particularly popular in pet shops, because their lack of coloring gives them a unique and unusual appearance.

One of the most popular albino frogs in the animal shop is African claw albino Žaba. African clawAlbin, strictly water frog, is very easy to take care of them and can be kept in an aquarium with freshwater fish. Because frogs are predators, fish should be greater than the frog can easily consume. It is known that African frogs eat, that they eat guppies, but can exist on shrimp and blood preparations. They are also one of the few frogs that do not require live food.
