What is assistance?

Help is statistics used in many different sports to quantify the act of helping another player to achieve a certain goal. This goal usually includes points or goals.

Basketball, hockey, football and baseball are all sports in which the assistance can be seen and the rules differ slightly in each of them. In basketball, recording assistance is very simple. When someone produces a basket, a player who gave them the ball in front of the score is attributed by assistance. The assumption is basically the same in football, although the assistant may be recorded by a player whose missed shot is returned to the goal by another player. It is also possible for two assists to be recorded in the same game, although both passages had to lead directly to the goal.

Hockey is the only other sport in which two assists can be attributed to the same game, but intentions could be recorded, there is no need to help the score of another player. When the goal is scored, the car isTicky credited to each of the two players in the offensive team who last touched the puck, provided no defensive player checked him during the game. For example, let's say the goalkeeper will hand over the puck to his teammate and a skate teammate and shoots the puck. The puck bounces from the second goalkeeper and one of the player's teammates collects reflection and score. Help would be credited to the first goalkeeper - although he had little to do with the goal of the goal - and the player who bought the first shot would gain assistance, although he never passed the players who scored.

Baseball is the only sport in which assistance is achieved in defense. Baseball help occurs whenever two or more defensive players go out. The last player who touches the ball during the game by any other defensive players who touched the ball, intentionally or otherwise, are attributed to assistance.

Baseball is also the only sport in which the assistance can be recorded, although the game is not successfully completed. If a player does what fromAnd normal circumstances were assistance, but out is not recorded because of another player's mistake, the first player is still credited with assistance. They help in baseball are very common, but the assistance that are made by outfielders are not common at all, and therefore more respect than the assistance that have made infielders.

Assistance can also be recorded in sports such as volleyball, water polo and more.
