What is AYE-AYE?

AYE-AYE is a very unusual looking lemur native of Madagascar. Some Aye-Mayes are held in several zoos around the world, but are very rare. Aye-May is often considered grotesque because it has a very pointed face with vein skin, a gigantic yellow-green look at the bulbous eyes, huge bats similar to ears, strangely looking disproportionate legs and fingers, and rough, harsh coat. They killed most of the kind and aye-anye is often considered an endangered species. It is not known that Ayes-Mayes will steal eggs and other meals quite blatantly from the villagers, just as it is known to be raccoon in other parts of the world. The natural habitats of Aye-May decrease as rainforests decrease. When they dwell in canopy trees, they often find and eat fruits, but Aye-Mays are omnipotent, which means they eat almost any kind of food. Their long fingers, with the middle of the longest, allow them to dig insects from the inner branches. Aye-anys also have teeth similar to rodents for trHiding the bark of trees to find Gruby for food.

Aye-May is night and sleeps in your tree nest during the day. Although Aye-Aye has teeth similar to rodents and tail similar to squirrel, it is a primacy. Aye-May is a member of the Lemur and Lemura family, like humans, monkeys and apes, are primates. Yet Aye-May is different from other lemurs due to their unusual legs and other characteristics and is considered a rare type of lemur.

Only a handful of zoo and zoos around the world have Aye-Mayes. Madagascar Zoo Tsimbazaza has them like the Ueno zoo in Tokyo. Because Aye-Mayes are so rare, they have started to breed Aye-Mayes. Great Britain (Great Britain) has Aye-Mayes in three zoos: Jersey Zoo, London Zoo and Bristol Zoo. In the United States, the Duke of Lemur has a Duke University in Durham, North Carolina Aye-Mayes. The public usually sees Aye-Ases there, but it is strictly only by appointment.
