What is Eisner's price?

The Eisner Award is awarded to comics and graphic novel workers. The Eisner Award is named after Will Eisner, a long -time writer and an illustrator of comics and graphic novels. At the beginning of the 1980s. Kirbys, however, were short -term and organizations supporting Kirby prices dissolved in the mid -80s. Many professionals have joined the support of the new organization, and the annual many in this industry are now honored to win the Eisner Award, still feel the importance of recognizing the graphic novel and the magazine.

The first nominees for the Eisner Award were artists and/or work published in 1987, with the 1988 award ceremony. Since then, many have received many Eisner Award, every year in a number of categories. Currently, approximately 30 prizes are awarded every year. One can win the EISNER Award in the following Ctendories:

  • best single problem
  • nThe best serialized story
  • The best graphic album
  • best writer
  • best writer/artist

    6 One can also be nominated for a special EISNER for humanitarian contributions or for being a newcomer that shows a promise. Like Oscars and Emmys, the judge panel nominates four to five works or artists for each category. Comics experts then voted for their favorite nominated to win the Eisner Award. The Eisner Awards presentation takes place on an annual comic book held in Sand Diego California.

    Eisner's income is Joss Whedon, a well-known television director, for his work on X-Men Comics, Frank Miller for several of his graphic novels and Bill Watterson for two of his calvin and Hobbes Antology.
