What is Battledress?

Battledress is a term used to describe military uniforms that are designed to be worn in combat. These uniforms must be practical and also allow the unit's cohesion to be created through consistent and identifiable uniforms. Many militants around the world have official combat uniforms that differ according to the branch, and civilians are often familiar with these uniforms because they appear in news images sent from the front lines.
