What is a blue tape?
Blue Tape is a specific type of camouflage tape, also called painting tape due to the intended application. The blue tape, which was originally developed 3m, is a low camouflage tape designed to protect surfaces during painting. The blue tape is made for purely without damaging the surfaces and without leaving any adhesive rest.
Blue Painter tape can be used to protect painted walls, lining, wood, metal and glass during painting, dyeing or warning the surrounding surfaces. Blue tape should not be used on varnish or most artificial surfaces. It is best used on semi -smooth surfaces, but is not ideal for use on bricks, concrete or stone.
Regular camouflage tape can be more difficult and even more difficult to remove it from the walls and lining due to the higher glue concentration. The flexible crepe pad Blue Painter causes it to be pliable and easily adapts to the corners and strangely shaped positioning surfaces. Blue tape is usually Available in width ranging from ¾ inches (1.9cm) up to 2 inches (5.08 cm).
Blue tape is not affected by UV rays or direct sunlight. Unlike conventional camouflage tape, the painting tape does not respond to sunlight by becoming more sticky. Painter tape can be reliably used at temperatures above 50 degrees Fahrenheit (10 degrees Celsius) and more than 100 degrees Fahrenheit (38 degrees Celsius). A painting tape with more surface with a low risk of adhesive transmission for up to 14 days can be left on the surface.
For use on fine 3m surfaces, it produces a special variety of blue tape. This camouflage tape can be used on freshly painted surfaces, where the color is at least 24 hours old, as well as on wooden floors, a wall wall board, vinyl wallpaper and other fragile surfaces. With even lower sticking rating than standard blue tape can be left for fine surfaces left up to 60 days without risk damage Povrch or adhesive rest. As with any household product, the tape package should be consulted before use.
Cutting the blue tape to the corners of the mask can be time -consuming and manual pieces can be washed with tape. As an alternative to cutting small pieces rolled tape, it causes 3m preliminary corner pieces under the name Scotch-Blue® Painter's Tape for Horn. This multi -level, medium adhesive tape is over 30 days and on windows, wood and other lining. These pieces of predecessors are also ideal for masking spindle bases on railings and barriers, because the specially designed internal angle of tape is resistant to distribution and tearing.
3M also produces an applicator in advance loaded with a multi -purpose blue tape. Similar to the wrapping tape, the device applies the tape to the wall smooth, even movement and has the cutter built -in. This tool is particularly useful for applying Painter tape for long sections of flat, flat walls.
