What is Bromeliad?
bromeliad is a common name given to the family of bromeleceae plants. One of the popular subfamily, which consists of bromeleceae, is bromeliideae, which includes fruit pineapple. Two other subrovodins that have been recognized are tillandsioideae and Pitcairnoideae. These three subflies are quite diverse and are distinguished mainly by geography and growth patterns.
considered tropical plants, Monocot Bromeliad plants can be found from the southern border of the United States through almost all of South America. The type of Pitcarirnia Feliciana is an exception to this geographical distribution because they are not originally from America. Instead, this species comes from parts of West Africa.
The Bromeliad species are quite diverse and can be very different in the appearance and climatic preference between the subfores. Bromeliads leaves a wide range of shades representing green and lighter shades such as cream. Otherbromeliads have pulsating Magentas and Deep Golden Yellow.
regardless of the species most bromeliaThe formula is monitored, where the leaves grow in a disk formation. The leaves that come from one level on the plant can be thin or wide, short or long. Leaves can have different textures such as prickly or smooth.
The arrangement of the flower flower, its inflorescence, is equally diverse. The height and length of the inflorescence may be a tenth of a thumb (3 mm) for almost a dozen yards (about 10-12 meters) for others. Inflorescence on other bromeliad plants will never be manifested externally because its flowers develop inside the stems near the roots.
Three Bromeliad's subruncas show a clear type of root system. Bromeliideae is largely formed by epiphytes, plants whose roots are captured to other plants, the most common trees, but do not stand out by any nutritional value from their base.
Unlike most of its epiphytic subrigue shows pineappleNce, instead of rising from the ground and collects nutrients from the ground. Pineapple is grown for human consumption worldwide, the only bromeliad that cultivates for commercial use. The most common use of pineapple is therefore for food, but is also used for textile fiber and for medicine in the Philippines.
Pitcairnoideae are earthly, mostly use the soil as a base and a source of nutrients and tend to prefer dry landscape. Pitcairnoidae plants have adapted to depressing water terrain by developing the ability to maintain water within their stems and leaves. They grow spine, like some other Bromeliad species, which further protect them from otherwise inhospitable climate.
tillandsioideae subfamal can be either epiphytic or lithophytic. Like bromeliideae, they receive a large part of the nutrition of moisture present in the surrounding atmosphere. The most famous member is Spanish moss, which is not related to the types of mosses or lichens.
