What is compost tea?
Compost tea is a solution made by extraction of compost into a liquid form. The solid compost material is immersed or soaked in water, resulting in nutrient -rich fertilizers that can be applied directly to vegetable leaves and soil. It is often used as a natural replacement for chemical fertilizers, fungicides and pesticides.
Tea is usually sprayed on non -existent parts of plants to prevent disease or use as a soil Dranc to improve root systems. When applying to leaves, tea can quickly deactivate in the sun. When introduced into the soil around the plant, the microbes present in the tea colonize the residues and increase the rate of decay. Anaerobic compost tea is produced by a combination of finished compost into the water and allowing the mixture to be up to 14 days. The mixture is mixed regularly to release microbes and stimulate them to the transmission of the water itself.
Aerobic compost tea (ACT) is made with air pumps or blowers. These devices are taking tea while cooking. One part of the VysocE high-quality compost is added to water 50-100 parts. In order for water to be considered as aerobic tea, the content of melted oxygen must have six parts per million (PPM) or higher.
COMPOST Tea, if used correctly, increases the taste of fruit and vegetables. Increases Brix levels or the ratio of sugar to water water. This results in smoother, sweeter tastes are noticeably present in plants that have been treated with tea.
Another advantage of compost teas is that they cannot be played. Unlike chemical fertilizers that can kill plants if they are used too often or in too much concentration, compost teas can be liberally applied. They are made of natural materials and as such cannot hurt the plants.
There are many different trains for compost teas that are available on the market today. These sets help the beginning tea manufacturer to create anywhere from five to 1 000 gallons of solutions. These sets may be expensive and usually require the use of chemicals such as chlorine bleach or hydrogen peroxide.
Many gardeners decided to make their own compost tea using objects at hand. Melas, water, compost and various buckets and hoses are all the materials needed to create a rich tea without the use of chemicals. The process usually takes 3-5 days and the resulting solution can be used immediately.
