What is the base of Cove?

Base

Cove is a type of lining that is installed along the base of the inner wall where the wall meets the floor. It is primarily made of vinyl or rubber and is used to protect the base of the wall from damage and to ensure a finished and aesthetically pleasing appearance where it is installed. Vinyl and rubber forming is often selected through traditional wooden motherboard, because it is usually cheaper and is generally easier to install.

Extremely versatile, Cove base is produced in different colors to match most interior color schemes. It is sold in different lengths and installation is usually relatively simple and requires only a cutting tool, adhesive and seals. The length of the necessary lining is measured and cut, then applied to its back with a special adhesive and is pressed against the wall. Once the adhesive has dried fully, it can be applied to a small gap between forming and the wall.

Once the

Cove base is installed, it is relatively easy to maintain and can usually be cleaned with a slight household cleaning agent. Repair and/or replacement is generally simple and is another reason why many decide to use it. If the bar is pulled away from the wall, it can usually be re -installed relatively easily by applying adhesive, pressing on the wall and re -closing. If the necessary replacement is required, old vinyl or rubber can usually be easily removed with small tools.

The best known homes to improve houses carry this product and is also available through specialized retailers on the Internet. Installation guides are sold in stores and on many DO-IT-YourSelf websites you will find free video lessons. It can also be professionally installed by a supplier of carpets and floors. It is important to note that suppliers will charge for the materials ALS and the work needed for the installation process, leading to higher costs than the project "Do-IT-YourSelf".
