What is emo fashion?
Emo is a style of music that came from Washington, D.C., at the age of 80 and is a combination of Pop Punk and India Rock. The name "emo" is short for "emotional hardcore". EMO is used more than just music to describe a particular fashion style popular with EMO subculture - usually teenagers. EMO Fashion usually includes tight T-shirts, sweatshirts, skinny jeans, sneakers, punk accessories and specific hair and makeup styles. The band must be considered a "cool", which means it should be an emo band or a band that EMO fashion followers think is ironic, like Journey. T -shirts are usually short sleeves and paired with sweatshirts, other names for jackets. The sweatshirt should be called EMO band, skull or stars on it or be in a simple dark color. In EMO fashion, sweatshirts are acceptable throughout the year, regardless of the climate.
One of the most important aspects of emo fashion is thin jeans. These types of jeans are tight from the hips to the ankles and men can wear girls jeans.
